It was a busy July over at CTH. We guided anywhere from South Park to Rocky Mountain National Park, seeing plenty of fish along the way. Our private water fishing opportunities on the North Fork of the South Platte have been fantastic and yielded quite a few trophies. Some of our private creeks in the high country are starting to suffer from the minimal snowpack and high water temperatures so those won’t get much attention from us next month but our high mountain lakes will continue to produce! Our home water of the South Platte near Decker’s continues to fish well with both nymphing and dry fly opportunities throughout the day. The Blue River is fishing pretty tough but large fish can still be caught with sight fishing being crucial to find the fish. Our spots on the Eagle are also suffering from warm water so we will not be fishing there unless conditions improve. Let us know if we can get you out fishing!
