Report:
Fishing is heating up with the nice weather. The trout seem hungry and healthy as they fatten up before the spawn. Our
angler, Trey, was on his first western fly fishing trip and managed to land and release between 15 – 20 beautiful Colorado trout. Most of the fish were in perfect condition and were very scrappy fighters. Nymph fishing was the most productive method of the day, with bead head nymphs fished behind an attractor being a deadly combo. There was also some action with a dry-dropper combo that actually produced the biggest fish of the day.
Overall the fishing the last few days has been very good with anglers experiencing success on a variety of public and private waters. The fishing should remain excellent through the spring.
